Heather
Heather has been a team member of Barlow Orthodontics since it’s opening in 2008. Before the office even opened it’s doors, she was working to schedule patients referred from the local dental offices. She grew up in Knoxville, TN and has called Camden County her home since 2005. Heather serves dual roles at Barlow Orthodontics. She functions as a Treatment Coordinator and guides new patients through their first exam with Dr. Barlow, helping to explain all the aspects of our patient’s orthodontic care. She has also served as the offices financial coordinator in the past and is an expert in Orthodontic Insurance. Our patients find her an invaluable source of information for their questions throughout the beginning stages of their orthodontic care. She loves getting to know our patients and parents throughout their treatment and getting to see how happy they are with their new smiles.
Heather has two teenage children: Lexi and Landon and her husband Stephen works with the children of the area through one of the local Karate schools. She is an extremely active person and enjoys training at Crossfit Camden. She is an avid runner as well and has completed one marathon and numerous half marathons and mud-runs.
Brittany
Brittany has been a member of Dr. Barlow’s team since 2010 and has been working in Orthodontics since 2006. She is a graduate of Camden High School and has lived in the area since she was five years old when her father was transferred to Kingsbay Naval Base. Brittany serves many important roles in the treatment of the patients at Barlow Orthodontics. She is a clinical assistant, the tech for the in-house lab work and oversees the OSHA compliance of the office ensuring absolute patient safety. After being brought on as a clinical assistant, Dr. Barlow appointed her to the other roles after seeing her meticulous attention to detail. Brittany takes delight in working with Dr. Barlow to create beautiful smiles for all our wonderful patients. Brittany is an American Association of Orthodontics certified assistant, has completed a course in training for Incognito and is Red Cross CPR/AED certified.
Brittany was born in Ohio, has one older brother and lived all along the East Coast before her family settled in Camden. She married her high school sweetheart Scott, who works on the Navy Base for the Trident Refit Facility. They have two children: Isabella and Kendal. Brittany is a huge FSU fan and enjoys reading, cooking, traveling and lots of family time.
Melissa
Melissa joined Barlow Orthodontics in 2012. She was born and raised in Jacksonville, Fl, but has called Camden County home for over 20 years. She comes from years of financial experience and enjoys working with people. Melissa is the Financial Coordinator for our office and ensures our patients and families have a seamless experience with their investment for orthodontic care. As a member of the office team, she handles a multitude of tasks helping to make your experience at Barlow Orthodontics as enjoyable as possible. In addition to her primary role, Melissa also helps w/ scheduling coordination, ensuring treatment runs smoothly and on regular intervals. She also is involved in the marketing of our office. Whether it’s a booth at a local health fair, a seminar put on by our office for the dental community, or even our in-office boards for our many contests, she has a hand in them all.
Melissa has two children. Her son Dylan is a 2011 graduate of Camden County High School and is currently serving in the U.S. Army. Her daughter Molly currently attends CCHS. She enjoys cooking, boating and spending time with her family.
Kelsie
Kelsie started at Barlow Orthodontics as a student intern in the summer of 2011 before her senior year of high school. She has since joined the team as a valuable full member after her graduation. She is currently taking her core college curriculum in Jacksonville while working at our office. Kelsie started out running sterilization and helping the clinical assistants keep our appointments on time. It was readily apparent to the team that she was capable of more and is now a full chair-side assistant. She is very welcoming to our patients, and enjoys spending time getting to know all of them. Kelsie is extremely artistic and you can see her work on the boards throughout the office welcoming and congratulating our patients.
Kelsie lives in Folkston, GA. She is currently attending Florida State College and is majoring in Psychology. She is very intrigued with the human mind and it’s workings and plans to one day become a psychologist. She enjoys the outdoors, being on the water, hunting and loves to spend time with family and friends. She is a University of Florida fan (Go Gators!) and is excited about her future studies and accomplishments ahead.
Anna
Anna has been a member of Dr. Barlow’s team and working in orthodontics since 2012. She graduated from Fernandina Beach High School w/ honors and than attended Florida State College of Jacksonville, graduating with honors while obtaining an Associates of Arts degree. Anna serves as a scheduling coordinator at Barlow Orthodontics and assists our patients by keeping their treatment progressing and on time. She is also dual trained as a clinical assistant, so you may see her in many areas of our office. Anna is also a member of our marketing committee and helps with all the continuing education events Barlow Orthodontics provides to the dental communities in Camden and Nassau. Whether she is part of your treatment through scheduling or assisting Dr. Barlow in the clinic, you will find her calm, friendly demeanor an asset to your orthodontic journey.
When not at Barlow Orthodontics, Anna teaches martial arts at Pak’s karate. She has been teaching since 2006 and taking karate since 1998. She is currently a 2nd degree black belt in Tang Soo Do. In her spare time, Anna loves running and working out, going to the beach, and being on the water with friends and family.
Brittany
Brittany became a member of Barlow Orthodontics in 2012 and has been working in Orthodontics since 2010 as a clinical chairside assistant. She is an Athens, GA native but relocated to the Camden area in 2012 which she now calls home. She is a nationally certified dental assistant.
Brittany graduated from Athens Technical College with awards for being on the Dean’s List and President’s List. She is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. After graduation she joined an orthodontic office in Athens, specializing her training further. At Barlow Orthodontics, Brittany works alongside Dr. Barlow in the clinical bay and also substitutes as a treatment coordinator, guiding new patients as they begin their journey to bright new smiles. Either way, Brittany loves helping to create beautiful and improved smiles for all our patients.
In her spare time, Brittany enjoys running, cooking, and visiting her family in north Georgia. You can find her cheering on the Camden County Wildcats on Friday nights and saying ‘Go Dawgs!’ on Saturdays.
